මිරිස්ස මංසන්ධිය ආසන්නයේදී යතුරුපැදියකින් පැමිණි නාඳුනන සන්නද්ධ පුද්ගලයන් දෙදෙනෙකු විසින් සිදුකළ වෙඩි තැබීමකින් පුද්ගලයෙකු බරපතළ තුවාල ලබා මාතර දිස්ත්‍රික් මහ රෝහලට ඇතුළත් කර තිබේ. පොලිස් මාධ්‍ය ප්‍රකාශක කාර්යාලය සඳහන් කළේ මෙලෙස වෙඩි ප්‍රහාරයට ලක්ව ඇත්තේ 34 හැවිරිදි වියේ පසුවන ධීවර යාත්‍රා පාලකයෙකු බවයි. යතුරුපැදියකින් පැමිණි පුද්ගලයන් දෙදෙනෙකු විසින් මෙම වෙඩි තැබීම සිදුකර වහාම ප්‍රදේශයෙන් පලාගොස් ඇති අතර, සිද්ධියට හේතුව මෙතෙක් අනාවරණය වී නොමැත. තුවාලකරු මේ වන විට මාතර මහ රෝහලේ දැඩි සත්කාර ඒකකයේ ප්‍රතිකාර ලබන බව වාර්තා වේ. සිද්ධිය සම්බන්ධයෙන් සැකකරුවන් අත්අඩංගුවට ගැනීම සඳහා මිරිස්ස පොලිසිය වැඩිදුර විමර්ශන ආරම්භ කර ඇත. Man Hospitalized After Shooting Incident in Mirissa A shooting incident near the Mirissa junction has left one individual critically injured. The victim, a 34-year-old man who operates a fishing vessel, was shot by two unidentified gunmen who arrived on a motorcycle. According to the Police Media Spokesman’s Office, the attackers fled the scene immediately following the shooting. The motive behind the attack remains unclear as investigations continue. The injured individual is currently receiving treatment in the intensive care unit of Matara District General Hospital.
