Following a week of relentless attacks, Saudi Arabia is increasingly embroiled in the Yemeni conflict, prompting the government to issue specific security alerts for several major cities, including Mecca. Citing threats from ongoing drone and missile attacks, the US embassy has advised its citizens to reconsider travel to Saudi Arabia and completely avoid areas near the Yemeni border.
