කැලණිය ප්‍රාදේශීය සභාවේ එක්සත් ජාතික පක්ෂ මන්ත්‍රීවරයෙකු සහ ඔහුගේ අසල්වැසියෙකු අතර ඇති වූ ආරවුලක් ගුටි බැට හුවමාරුවක් දක්වා දුරදිග යාමෙන් තුවාල ලැබූ දෙදෙනාම කිරිබත්ගොඩ රෝහලට ඇතුළත් කර ඇති බව පොලීසිය පවසයි. 04 වනදා සවස් කාලයේදී මෙම සිදුවීම වාර්තා වී ඇත. මන්ත්‍රීවරයා සිය නිවස අසල ජලය බැස යාම සඳහා බැකෝ යන්ත්‍රයක් යොදා ගනිමින් කානුවක් කැපීමට උත්සාහ කර ඇති අතර, එහිදී අසල්වැසියා ඊට විරෝධය පළ කර තිබේ. එම අවස්ථාවේදී දෙපාර්ශවය අතර උණුසුම් වචන හුවමාරුවක් සිදුව ඇති අතර, අසල්වැසි පුද්ගලයා විසින් දුරකථනයෙන් දැනුම් දී කැලණිය ප්‍රාදේශීය සභාවේම ජාතික ජන බලවේගය නියෝජනය කරන මන්ත්‍රීවරයෙකු ද එම ස්ථානයට කැඳවා ඇති බව වාර්තා වේ. මෙම ආරවුල අතරතුර දෙපාර්ශවය අතර ඇති වූ ගැටුමෙන් මන්ත්‍රීවරයා සහ අසල්වැසියා යන දෙදෙනාම තුවාල ලබා ඇත. සිද්ධිය සම්බන්ධයෙන් දෙපාර්ශවයම කිරිබත්ගොඩ පොලීසියට පැමිණිලි කර ඇති අතර, මන්ත්‍රීවරයා තමන්ට පහර දුන් බවට අසල්වැසියාත්, අසල්වැසියා තමන්ට පහර දුන් බවට මන්ත්‍රීවරයාත් අන්‍යෝන්‍ය වශයෙන් චෝදනා කර තිබේ. තුවාල ලැබූ දෙදෙනාම රෝහල්ගත වීමට අවශ්‍ය බව ප්‍රකාශ කිරීම නිසා පොලීසිය විසින් ඔවුන්ට වෛද්‍ය වාර්තා ලබා ගැනීම සඳහා අවශ්‍ය පෝරම නිකුත් කර ඇත. කිරිබත්ගොඩ පොලීසිය සිද්ධිය සම්බන්ධයෙන් වැඩිදුර විමර්ශන පවත්වයි. The incident took place on the evening of the 4th, when the politician, attempting to cut a pipe using an excavator to address flooding near his home, faced resistance from the neighbor. During the confrontation, heated exchanges ensued, prompting the neighbor to call for assistance from another member of the National People's Power representing the Kelaniya Pradeshiya Sabha. The altercation resulted in both the politician and the neighbor sustaining injuries. Reports indicate that both parties have filed complaints with the Kiribathgoda Police, with each accusing the other of assault. Given the nature of their injuries, police have issued the necessary forms for medical documentation to both individuals to facilitate their hospital care.
