හෙක්ටයාර් 247ක් ආයෝජකයන්ට..

විදේශ රැකියා වල නිරත වී මෙරටට විදේශ විනිමය ප්‍රේෂණය කරනු ලැබ ඇති හෝ කරනු ලබන තරුණ ව්‍යවසායකයින් හට වැවිලි ක්ෂේත්‍රයේ ආයෝජනය කිරීමට අවස්ථාව සලසා දිය හැකි වන පරිදි, ඌන උපයෝජිත ඉඩම් වලින් ඉඩම් කොටස් දිගුකාලීන බදු පදනම මත ලබා දීම සඳහා යෝග්‍ය වැඩසටහනක් සකස් කිරීම පිණිස 2026-01-12 දින පැවති අමාත්‍ය මණ්ඩල රැස්වීමේදී අනුමැතිය ලබා දී තිබේ. වැවිලි සහ ප්‍රජා යටිතල පහසුකම් අමාත්‍යාංශය විසින් අදාළ පාර්ශ්වයන් සමඟ සාකච්ඡා පවත්වා එම වැඩසටහන ක්‍රියාත්මක කිරීම සඳහා වන ක්‍රම වේදයක් සකස් කරනු ලැබ ඇත. ඒ අනුව, ශ්‍රී ලංකා රාජ්‍ය වැවිලි සංස්ථාව සතු හෙක්ටයාර 117ක්, ජනතා වතු සංවර්ධන මණ්ඩලය සතු හෙක්ටයාර 88 ක් සහ සීමාසහිත ඇල්කඩුව වැවිලි සමාගම සතු හෙක්ටයාර 42 ක් වශයෙන් වන ඌන උපයෝජිත ඉඩම් හෙක්ටයාර 247 ක් පහතසඳහන් නිර්ණායක යටතේ හඳුනා ගනු ලබන සුදුසු ආයෝජකයින් වෙත දිගුකාලීන බදු පදනම මත බැහැර කිරීම පිණිස වැවිලි සහ ප්‍රජා යටිතල පහසුකම් අමාත්‍යතුමා ඉදිරිපත් කළ යෝජනාව අමාත්‍ය මණ්ඩලය විසින් අනුමත කරන ලදී. ආයෝජකයෙකුගේ උපරිම වයස අවුරුදු 50 ක් ලෙස සැලකීම. වැවිලි/කෘෂිකාර්මික කටයුතු, වැවිලි ආශ්‍රිත සංචාරක ප්‍රවර්ධන කටයුතු, පශු සම්පත් සංවර්ධනය, ජල විදුලිබල උත්පාදනය, සූර්ය බල ශක්ති උත්පාදනය, කර්මාන්ත ශාලා ආශ්‍රිත නිෂ්පාදන කටයුතු, මිරිදිය මත්ස්‍ය කර්මාන්තය සහ වෙනත් වැවිලි ආශ්‍රිත ආර්ථික නවෝත්පාදන කටයුතු යන ක්ෂේත්‍ර සඳහා ආයෝජන අවස්ථා ලබා දීම. විධිමත් ප්‍රසම්පාදන ක්‍රියාවලිය හරහා තෝරා ගනු ලබන එක් ආයෝජකයෙකු වෙත උපරිම හෙක්ටයාර 1-4 අතර ඌන උපයෝජිත ඉඩම් කොටසක් දිගුකාලීන බදු පදනම මත ලබා දීම. පසුගිය වසර 10 ක කාලය තුළ වසර 03 ක් හෝ ඊට වැඩි කාලයක් විදෙස්ගත රැකියාවක නියුක්තව සිටි හෝ විදේශ ශ්‍රමිකයෙකු ලෙස දැනටමත් වසර 03 කට වැඩි කාලයක් සේවයේ නියුතු පුද්ගලයන් සඳහා වැඩසටහන යටතේ ප්‍රමුඛතාව ලබා දීම. Government Approves Long-Term Lease Program for Unutilized Agricultural Lands In a significant development aimed at empowering young entrepreneurs involved in overseas employment, the Cabinet has approved a new initiative to facilitate investment in the agricultural sector. During a meeting on January 12, 2026, the proposal was granted the green light, targeting the leasing of unutilized lands on a long-term basis. The Ministry of Agriculture and Community Infrastructure is actively engaging stakeholders to formulate mechanisms for the implementation of this program, which seeks to open avenues for investment in various agricultural activities. Under the plan, a total of 247 hectares of unutilized land have been identified, including 117 hectares owned by the Sri Lanka State Agricultural Corporation, 88 hectares from the People's Plantation Development Board, and 42 hectares held by the limited liability Alakaduwa Agricultural Company. The Cabinet has endorsed a proposal presented by the Minister of Agriculture and Community Infrastructure to lease these lands to suitable investors under specified criteria. Investors will be required to be a maximum of 50 years old, and the initiative will focus on several sectors including agricultural tourism promotion, livestock development, hydropower generation, solar power production, and other agriculture-related economic innovations. The selected investor will be granted between 1 to 4 hectares of the unutilized land on a long-term lease basis through a structured procurement process. The program also prioritizes individuals who have spent three years or more in foreign employment or those currently working overseas for at least the same duration, providing them a chance to participate in this initiative. *Note: In case of any discrepancy between the Sinhala and English versions, the Sinhala version shall prevail.
