ඉන්දියාවේ ජාතික සමූපකාර අපනයන සමාගම (NCEL) සහ ශ්‍රී ලංකා පාරිභෝගික සමූපකාර සමිති සංගමය (COOPFED) අතර ඉන්දියාවේ සිට ශ්‍රී ලංකාවට අත්‍යවශ්‍ය ආහාර ද්‍රව්‍ය සැපයීම සඳහා වූ අවබෝධතා ගිවිසුමකට (MoU) අත්සන් තැබීම (05) සිදුකෙරිණ. ඉන්දියාවේ ජාතික සමූපකාර අපනයන සමාගම (NCEL) වෙනුවෙන් එහි කළමනාකාර අධ්‍යක්ෂ අනුපම් කෞෂි මහතාත්, ශ්‍රී ලංකා පාරිභෝගික සමූපකාර සමිති සංගමය (COOPFED) වෙනුවෙන් එහි සභාපති ආචාර්‍ය ශාන්ත ජයරත්න මහතාත් ගිවිසුමට අත්සන් තබන ලදී. එම අවස්ථාවට මෙරට ඉන්දීය මහකොමසාරිස් සන්තෝෂ් ජා මහතා සහ වෙළෙඳ, වාණිජ, ආහාර සුරක්ෂිතතා සහ සමූපකාර සංවර්‍ධන අමාත්‍ය වසන්ත සමරසිංහ මහතා ද එක්විය. ඊට සමඟාමීව නිදහස් වෙළෙඳ ගිවිසුම (FTA) යාවත්කාලීන කිරීම ඇතුළු වෙළෙඳ හා වාණිජමය ගැටලු පිළිබඳවද ඉන්දීය මහකොමසාරිස්වරයා හා වෙළෙඳ අමාත්‍යවරයා අතර ඵලදායී සාකච්ඡාවක් පැවැත්විණි. MoU Signed to Facilitate Essential Food Supply from India to Sri Lanka A significant Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on October 5 between India’s National Cooperative Export Limited (NCEL) and the Sri Lanka Cooperative Consumer Societies Federation (COOPFED), aimed at enhancing the supply of essential food products from India to Sri Lanka. The agreement was formalized by Anupam Kaushik, the Managing Director of NCEL, and Dr. Shantha Jayaratne, the Chairman of COOPFED, in a ceremony that underscored the strengthening ties between the two nations. Present at the event were India's High Commissioner to Sri Lanka, Gopal Baglay, and Minister of Trade, Commerce, Food Security, and Cooperative Development, Wasantha Samarasinghe, who both expressed support for the collaboration. In conjunction with the signing, fruitful discussions were also held regarding the ongoing updates to the Free Trade Agreement (FTA), as well as other trade and commercial issues, between the Indian High Commissioner and the Trade Minister. *Note: In case of any discrepancy between the Sinhala and English versions, the Sinhala version shall prevail.
